Waters Sample Cone 3100, SQD, TQD , ID=0.36mm
This cone is a 700003055 sample cone with 0.36mm orifice. This diameter is standard for the ZQ mass spectrometer.
There are some advantages why we offer this cone. One reason is, that some of our customers have developed a method on a ZQ/Micro and they like to have the same conditions for their new SQD/TQD. If you have an Edwards E2M28 installed instead of the Leybold pump you will need to drain the oil of the mist filter daily.
The 0.36mm cone has 52% of the area of the 0.50mm cone. That will lower the aspirated gas volume and you need to drain the oil only one time per week. In general the reproducibility of peak areas will increase as well as the time to do the next hexapole cleaning. If you don´t need the maximum sensitivity, this cone will make your work easier. Because of the smaller orifice diameter the sensitivity will decrease about 10-20%. We recommend this cone especially for the 3100 prep MS detector.
